1. CODE OF CONDUCT

Batmania Tours Pty Ltd – Participant Code of Conduct

1. Purpose

This Code of Conduct exists to ensure a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants, staff, venue partners, and members of the public.

By purchasing a ticket and/or attending this event, you agree to comply with this Code.

2. Eligibility

  • All participants must be 18+.

  • Valid government-issued photo ID must be presented upon request.

  • Intoxicated persons may be refused entry at the organiser’s discretion.

3. Expected Behaviour

Participants must:

  • Treat all attendees, staff, venue employees, and the public with respect.

  • Follow all instructions given by event staff immediately.

  • Comply with venue rules and Victorian liquor licensing laws.

  • Consume alcohol responsibly.

  • Remain with the group or communicate clearly if leaving early.

  • Use appropriate and respectful language at all times.

  • Respect personal space and boundaries.

4. Prohibited Behaviour

The following will not be tolerated:

4.1 Harassment

  • Unwanted sexual advances

  • Repeated unwanted interaction

  • Inappropriate comments about appearance, race, gender, sexuality, or identity

  • Sexual jokes, gestures, or comments

4.2 Sexual Misconduct

  • Non-consensual touching of any kind

  • Pressuring someone to drink or engage in sexual activity

  • Interfering with someone’s ability to consent

4.3 Violence or Aggression

  • Fighting

  • Threatening behaviour

  • Intimidation

  • Property damage

4.4 Discrimination

  • Racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, or otherwise discriminatory language or behaviour

4.5 Dangerous Conduct

  • Excessive intoxication

  • Drink spiking or suspected drink tampering

  • Supplying alcohol to minors

  • Encouraging unsafe drinking practices

5. Reporting

If you experience or witness misconduct:

  • Speak to any staff member immediately.

  • Staff will respond promptly and confidentially where possible.

  • All complaints are taken seriously.

6. Consequences

Breach of this Code may result in:

  • Verbal warning

  • Removal from event

  • Permanent ban from future events

  • Notification to venue security

  • Police involvement where required

Removal may occur without refund.

2. ZERO TOLERANCE HARASSMENT POLICY

1. Policy Statement

This event operates under a strict Zero Tolerance policy toward harassment, sexual harassment, sexual assault, discrimination, and predatory behaviour.

Any confirmed breach will result in immediate removal and potential permanent exclusion.

2. Definition of Harassment

Harassment includes but is not limited to:

  • Unwanted sexual comments or advances

  • Persistent unwanted communication

  • Inappropriate touching

  • Sexual gestures or propositions

  • Offensive jokes or remarks

  • Stalking behaviour during the event

  • Photographing or filming someone without consent in a sexual or invasive manner

Consent must be:

  • Freely given

  • Informed

  • Reversible

  • Enthusiastic

  • Specific

Intoxication impairs the ability to consent.

3. Our Response Commitment

If a report is made:

  • The affected person’s safety will be prioritised immediately.

  • Parties will be separated.

  • A private space will be provided.

  • The reporting person will not be blamed or interrogated.

  • They will be offered medical or police support.

  • The alleged offender may be removed immediately pending review.

4. False Reports

Knowingly making a malicious or deliberately false report may result in removal. However, lack of evidence does not invalidate a report.

5. Enforcement

Event organisers reserve full discretion to determine appropriate action, including immediate removal without refund.

3. REMOVAL WITHOUT REFUND POLICY

1. Authority to Remove

Event organisers reserve the absolute right to refuse entry or remove any participant at any time for behaviour that:

  • Breaches the Code of Conduct

  • Violates the Zero Tolerance Harassment Policy

  • Endangers themselves or others

  • Breaches venue rules or Victorian liquor laws

  • Is deemed unsafe, inappropriate, or disruptive

This decision is final.

2. No Refund Provision

Participants removed from the event for misconduct are not entitled to:

  • Refunds (full or partial)

  • Ticket transfers

  • Future event credits

Removal is considered a consequence of contract breach by the participant.

3. Examples of Conduct Resulting in Immediate Removal

  • Fighting or threatening violence

  • Sexual harassment or unwanted touching

  • Drink spiking or suspected drink tampering

  • Severe intoxication

  • Refusal to follow staff directions

  • Discriminatory language

  • Bringing illicit substances

4. Permanent Bans

Serious incidents (including assault, harassment, or safety violations) may result in:

  • Permanent ban from all future events

  • Sharing of details with partner venues

  • Police reporting

5. Appeals

Participants may submit a written request for review within 7 days.
The organiser’s decision after review is final.
